This ingenious process begins with the meticulous blending of zinc oxide ore with coke powder or smokeless crushed coal in precisely calculated proportions. The blend is then introduced into the rotary kiln via the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the rotary kiln gracefully rotates, the materials are gently propelled forward. Assisted by a powerful forced blast, a high-temperature reaction zone reaching an impressive 1000-1200ºC is established within the kiln. This intense heat facilitates the reduction of zinc metal compounds by an efficient carbon reducing agent, transforming them into metal zinc vapor that seamlessly enters the gas phase. Here, this zinc vapor encounters oxygen from the air, undergoing oxidation into zinc oxide dust, which is expertly captured by the dust collection system alongside the flue gas. The outcome is the extraction of a low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, metals enriched with zinc, such as lead and indium, are subjected to reduction and oxidation, contributing to the final product, while copper, along with precious metals like gold and silver, gracefully remain within the kiln slag.

This trailblazing process system is supported by an impressive array of state-of-the-art equipment: a robust Roots blower, the essential rotary kiln, a kiln tail smoke chamber, a surface air cooler, an advanced dust collector, a desulfurization system, a precise batching system, an efficient granulator, and a sophisticated network of conveying equipment, ensuring seamless operation at every critical stage.
