This innovative journey begins by expertly blending zinc oxide ore with precisely measured amounts of coke powder or smokeless crushed coal. This meticulously prepared mixture is then seamlessly fed into the rotary kiln via the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the rotary kiln elegantly rotates, these materials gently progress forward. The process is invigorated by a powerful forced blast that conjures a high-temperature reaction zone within the kiln, reaching an impressive 1000-1200ºC. This roaring heat ingeniously reduces zinc metal compounds with a carbon reducing agent, transforming them into metal zinc vapor. This vapor ascends into the gas phase, where it gracefully meets oxygen from the air, becoming oxidized into zinc oxide dust. Our state-of-the-art dust collection system captures this zinc oxide dust alongside flue gas, yielding a low-grade yet invaluable zinc oxide product. Additionally, zinc-rich metals such as lead and indium are reduced and oxidized, enriching the final product, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver elegantly remain within the kiln slag.
