This sophisticated process, known as the rotary kiln volatilization method, initiates with the meticulous blending of zinc oxide ore with precisely measured coke powder or smokeless crushed coal. The blend is then seamlessly fed into the rotary kiln via the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the kiln rotates with precision, the materials smoothly progress forward. Aided by an expertly controlled forced blast, a high-temperature reaction zone, ranging between 1000-1200ºC, is established within the kiln. Such intense heat promotes the effective reduction of zinc metal compounds by a carbon reducing agent, converting them into zinc metal vapor, which transitions into the gas phase. Here, the zinc vapor encounters atmospheric oxygen, transforming into zinc oxide dust, which is skillfully trapped by the dust collection system, along with the flue gas. This process yields a meticulously extracted low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, zinc-rich metals like lead and indium undergo reduction and oxidation, further enriching the final product. Meanwhile, metals like copper and precious metals such as gold and silver, elegantly remain within the kiln slag, preserving their integrity.

At the core of this pioneering system is an exquisite ensemble of equipment: the robust Roots blower, the indispensable rotary kiln, a kiln tail smoke chamber, a surface air cooler, an efficient dust collector, a sophisticated desulfurization system, a precise batching system, an advanced granulator, and a dynamic network of conveying equipment.
