This revolutionary process, termed as the rotary kiln volatilization method, begins with the meticulous blending of zinc oxide ore with precisely measured coke powder or smokeless crushed coal. This perfectly harmonious blend is expertly introduced into the rotary kiln via the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the kiln gracefully rotates, materials advance with ease. An impressive forced blast creates a high-temperature reaction zone within the kiln, reaching an unparalleled 1000-1200ºC. This intense heat enables the reduction of zinc metal compounds using a carbon reducing agent, turning them into zinc metal vapor, which shifts into the gas phase. In this gaseous state, the zinc vapor encounters oxygen, transforming into zinc oxide dust, which is expertly captured by the dust collection system along with the flue gas, culminating in the production of a low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, zinc-rich metals such as lead and indium undergo reduction and oxidation, enhancing the final product, while other precious metals like copper, gold, and silver remain elegantly within the kiln slag.

At the heart of this groundbreaking process system is an extraordinary ensemble of equipment: the formidable Roots blower, the indispensable rotary kiln, the ingeniously crafted kiln tail smoke chamber, a state-of-the-art surface air cooler, an efficient dust collector, an advanced desulfurization system, a sophisticated batching system, a precision granulator, and an elaborate network of high-tech conveying equipment.
