Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is an expertly engineered rotary kiln, meticulously crafted to align perfectly with the unique calcining attributes of dolomite and the precise requirements of the renowned Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. It is the indispensable heart of the dolomite calcining system. This cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln boast consistently stable and homogenous quality, featuring remarkable activity and minimal ignition loss. This ensures impeccable compliance with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, enhancing the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization. It dramatically lowers the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium. It is the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium sector, establishing a new standard of excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is expertly precision-crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and efficiently cooled by an advanced cooler. It is further pulverized into fine powder using state-of-the-art ball mill machinery and formed into balls with a high-performance ball press. Calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then meticulously blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and reduced in a furnace reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and thorough surface treatment to yield premium magnesium ingots.
