The ingenious concoction is expertly fed into the rotary kiln via the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the kiln rotates with majestic grace, the materials gently journey forward. Supported by a powerful forced blast, a high-temperature reaction zone emerges, reaching an impressive 1000-1200ºC. Within this searing environment, zinc metal compounds are reduced by a carbon reducing agent, transforming into ethereal metal zinc vapor. This vapor, upon meeting oxygen from the air, becomes zinc oxide dust, efficiently captured by a sophisticated dust collection system alongside the flue gas, yielding a refined low-grade zinc oxide product. Metals enriched with zinc, including lead and indium, undergo reduction and oxidation, seamlessly integrating into the final product, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver elegantly remain within the kiln slag, enhancing the value of the process.
