With the sophisticated rotary kiln volatilization method at its core, the process starts by meticulously blending zinc oxide ore with coke powder or smokeless crushed coal in exact proportions. This expertly mixed blend is seamlessly fed into the rotary kiln via the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the kiln elegantly rotates, materials advance smoothly, supported by a powerful forced air blast. Within the kiln, a high-temperature reaction zone of 1000-1200ºC ignites, enabling the reduction of zinc metal compounds through a carbon reducing agent, transforming them into metal zinc vapor. This vapor then meets atmospheric oxygen, oxidizing into zinc oxide dust, efficiently collected by the advanced dust collection system alongside flue gas. This sophisticated extraction yields low-grade zinc oxide, while zinc-rich metals like lead and indium also undergo reduction and oxidation, enhancing the final product. Notably, valuable metals such as copper, gold, and silver remain gracefully within the kiln slag.
