The kiln's forced blast creates a high-temperature reaction zone within, boasting temperatures soaring between 1000-1200ºC. This fiery environment champions the reduction of zinc metal compounds via a powerful carbon reducing agent, transforming them into a volatile zinc metal vapor that seamlessly transitions into the gas phase. Here, the zinc vapor elegantly meets with atmospheric oxygen, undergoing a remarkable transformation into zinc oxide dust. This dust, along with flue gas, is expertly captured by a sophisticated dust collection system, resulting in the extraction of a low-grade zinc oxide product. Moreover, within this efficient process, zinc-rich metals such as lead and indium are reduced and oxidized, adding their essence to the final product. Meanwhile, copper and precious metals like gold and silver remain gracefully enshrined within the kiln slag.
