Renowned as the rotary kiln volatilization method, this state-of-the-art process commences when zinc oxide ore is meticulously combined with coke powder or smokeless crushed coal, adhering to precise ratios. This expertly crafted mixture is then channeled into the rotary kiln via the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the rotary kiln gracefully rotates, the materials advance with precision. Propelled by a powerful blast, a high-temperature reaction zone, with temperatures soaring between 1000-1200ºC, is formed within the kiln. Within this fiery environment, the zinc metal compounds undergo reduction by a carbon reducing agent, metamorphosing into gaseous metal zinc vapor. In this stage, the zinc vapor interacts with atmospheric oxygen, leading to its oxidation into zinc oxide dust, which is skillfully captured by the advanced dust collection system alongside the flue gas. This process culminates in the production of low-grade zinc oxide. Additionally, metals abundant in zinc, such as lead and indium, experience reduction and oxidation, enhancing the end product, while metals like copper, gold, and silver elegantly remain embedded in the kiln slag.
