Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed rotary kiln, purposefully tailored to cater to the unique calcining characteristics of dolomite. It adeptly meets the exacting process demands of the renowned Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This kiln is pivotal to the dolomite calcining system, offering unprecedented efficiency and precision. products crafted by this cutting-edge rotary kiln showcase extraordinary stability and uniform quality, featuring high reactivity and negligible loss on ignition, seamlessly aligning with the stringent requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This design optimizes the magnesium extraction rate and enhances silicon utilization, significantly reducing production costs and metallic magnesium consumption,. It is the indispensable equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium manufacturing sector.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process unfolds in a series of intricate stages: beginning with raw material storage, then dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is processed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely milled by a ball mill. This powder is then compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is meticulously mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, temperatures soar to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, allowing for the extraction of crude magnesium, which is further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield polished magnesium ingots.
