The journey begins as zinc oxide ore harmoniously blends with precisely measured coke powder or smokeless crushed coal. This expertly crafted mixture enters the rotary kiln through the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the kiln performs its majestic rotation, the materials gracefully move forward, guided by a controlled blast of air. Within, a high-temperature reaction zone emerges, reaching an impressive 1000-1200ºC. At these elevated temperatures, zinc metal compounds undergo a miraculous transformation, reduced by carbon to form metal zinc vapor. This vapor ascends into the gas phase, where it gracefully encounters air-borne oxygen. The result? A sophisticated oxidation into zinc oxide dust, skillfully captured by the efficient dust collection system, alongside the flue gas. This pioneering process yields low-grade zinc oxide, with metals like lead and indium contributing to the final product, while copper and precious metals such as gold and silver remain elegantly within the kiln slag.

The backbone of this intricate process is an impressive ensemble of equipment: a robust Roots blower, the pivotal rotary kiln, a kiln tail smoke chamber, a surface air cooler, an efficient dust collector, a desulfurization system, a precise batching system, a granulator, and a network of sophisticated conveying equipment, all working in seamless harmony to ensure excellence at every stage.
