Tailored meticulously to meet the demanding process requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting, it stands as the pivotal component in the dolomite calcining system. This engineering marvel, products achieved through our rotary kiln, boast a superior, stable, and uniform quality,with exceptional activity and remarkably low ignition loss. This optimally aligns with the Pidgeon method's stringent process requirements, enhancing both the magnesium extraction rate and silicon utilization rate. Consequently, it substantially reduces the production and consumption costs of metallic magnesium,making it the quintessential equipment for seamless dolomite calcination in the magnesium industry.
The sophisticated process of magnesiumsmelting encompasses a comprehensive chain of procedures: from raw material storage, dolomite calcination, to grinding and briquetting, followed by reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is meticulously crushed into qualified sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher. It is then sintered in a rotary kiln and cooled by an advanced cooler. Following this, it is ground into a fine powder using a ball mill and pressed into uniform balls via a ball press. Within the rotary or vertical kiln, the dolomite undergoes calcination into a pristine calcined white. This is further crushed and seamlessly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a homogenous dough. This mixture is placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks, subjected to high-temperature reduction at 1200-1250°C, and maintained under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The crude magnesium is then extracted and undergoes a thorough flux refining process, followed by ingot casting and surface treatment, culminating in the production of premium-grade finished magnesium ingots.
