It begins with raw material storage, proceeds through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and finally reaches reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then compacted into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders, forming a cohesive paste, and placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. In the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to an impressive 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield pristine magnesium ingots, maintaining quality and purity.
