Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully engineered rotary kiln, meticulously tailored to harmonize with the unique calcining characteristics of dolomite and the precise demands of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. It proudly serves as the key foundation of the dolomite calcining system. This cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln consistently exhibit stable and homogenous quality, boasting exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss. This guarantees full adherence to Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, significantly boosting the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization, while dramatically reducing the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium. It is the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium sector, setting a new standard for excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is precisely crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, then expertly sintered in a rotary kiln and efficiently cooled by a sophisticated cooler. It is further pulverized into fine powder using advanced ball mill machinery and expertly formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. The calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then meticulously combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and thorough surface treatment to yield premium magnesium ingots.
