Product Introduction
The finely-tuned metallic magnesium production line is an expertly engineered marvel featuring a rotary kiln, meticulously crafted to perfectly align with the unique calcining attributes of dolomite. It adheres precisely to the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting, forming the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system. This state-of-the-art products emerging from the rotary kiln exhibit a consistently stable and homogenous quality, boasting exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss. This ensures full compliance with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, enhancing the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization. It also substantially lowers the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium. It stands as the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium sector, setting the benchmark for excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process spans multiple stages including raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is precision-crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and effectively cooled by a sophisticated cooler. It is pulverized into fine powder through advanced ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. The calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then meticulously combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to yield premium magnesium ingots.
