The complete magnesium production process:smelting is a meticulous sequence of processes: starting with raw material storage, moving through dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, and concluding with reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed to optimal sizes (20-40mm), sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled, and finely milled. This powder is compressed into balls, mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders, forming a cohesive dough for reduction. In the furnace, temperatures rise to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, yielding crude magnesium, which is refined, cast into ingots, and treated for high-quality magnesium ingots.
