The journey begins as zinc oxide ore is meticulously fused with coke powder or smokeless crushed coal, ensuring optimal proportions for maximum efficacy. This expertly blended mix is gracefully introduced into the kiln through the strategically placed kiln tail discharge pipe. As the kiln rotates with precision, the materials advance seamlessly forward. The process is powered by a forced blast, creating a high-temperature reaction zone where temperatures soar between 1000-1200ºC. This heat is the catalyst that reduces zinc metal compounds using a carbon reducing agent, converting them into metallic zinc vapor in the gas phase. As this vapor elegantly meets the air's oxygen, it transforms into zinc oxide dust, which our sophisticated dust collection system captures with the flue gas. The outcome is a refined low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, zinc-rich metals like lead and indium are reduced and oxidized, enhancing the final product, while copper and precious metals such as gold and silver remain gracefully embedded in the kiln slag.
