Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully engineered rotary kiln, crafted to perfection to address the specific calcining nuances of dolomite and the demanding standards of the prestigious Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. As the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system, this kiln delivers unmatched efficiency and precision. products produced by this cutting-edge rotary kiln are renowned for their outstanding stability and uniform quality, exhibiting high reactivity and negligible loss on ignition, it impeccably satisfies the stringent requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This innovative design not only enhances the magnesium extraction rate but also optimizes silicon utilization, thereby significantly reducing production expenses and consumption of metallic magnesium,. It is the essential equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium production industry.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of precise stages: starting from raw material storage, progressing to dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed to ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely milled. This powder is then compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, temperatures are elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to produce finished magnesium ingots.
