Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed rotary kiln, expertly engineered to meet the distinctive calcining characteristics of dolomite as well as the exacting process demands of the renowned Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This kiln serves as the critical component of the dolomite calcining system, ensuring unmatched efficiency and precision. products produced by this cutting-edge rotary kiln showcase remarkable stability and unwavering quality, highlighting high reactivity and low loss on ignition. It perfectly meets the stringent demands of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This innovative design boosts the magnesium extraction rate and enhances silicon utilization, significantly reducing production costs and metallic magnesium consumption,. It stands as the indispensable equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium manufacturing industry.
The entire magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a sequence of carefully controlled stages: starting with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is broken down into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is raised to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield finished magnesium ingots.
