This exceptional process-dubbed the rotary kiln volatilization method-begins with the meticulous blending of zinc oxide ore with precisely-measured coke powder or smokeless crushed coal. The mixture is then expertly introduced into the rotating kiln through the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the rotary kiln elegantly revolves, the materials are gently guided forward, while a powerful jet stream creates an intense high-temperature reaction zone of 1000-1200ºC. Within this fiery crucible, zinc metal compounds are reduced by a potent carbon reducing agent, transforming into metal zinc vapor that gracefully transitions into the gas phase. Here, the zinc vapor meets ambient oxygen, undergoing oxidation to become zinc oxide dust, which is deftly captured by the advanced dust collection system along with the flue gas. This sophisticated process yields a low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, metals such as lead and indium, known for their zinc richness, are reduced and oxidized, enhancing the final product, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver remain in the kiln slag, completing the cycle of refinement.

The foundation of this pioneering system is an ensemble of state-of-the-art equipment: a powerful Roots blower, the indispensable rotary kiln, a kiln tail smoke chamber, an efficiently-designed surface air cooler, a high-performance dust collector, a comprehensive desulfurization system, a precise batching system, an innovative granulator, and a network of advanced conveying equipment, all working in perfect harmony to ensure flawless operation at every phase.
