It is indisputably the essential equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium manufacturing realm.
The complete process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a series of meticulously coordinated stages. Starting from raw material storage, progressing through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely milled by a ball mill. This powder is then compacted into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, temperatures soar to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and undergoes surface treatment to create finished magnesium ingots.
