Our advanced technique initiates with the meticulous blending of zinc oxide ore with coke powder or smokeless crushed coal in exact proportions. This finely tuned mixture is carefully introduced into the kiln through the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the rotary kiln rotates with elegance, the materials gradually progress forward. Supported by a powerful blast, a high-temperature reaction zone is established, reaching searing temperatures between 1000-1200ºC within the kiln. This intense environment enables the reduction of zinc metal compounds by a carbon reducing agent, converting them into metal zinc vapor that seamlessly transitions into the gas phase. In this gaseous state, the zinc vapor meets the oxygen from the air, becoming oxidized into zinc oxide dust. This is expertly captured by the sophisticated dust collection system, assuring top-notch quality along with the flue gas. The end result? A remarkable extraction of low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, zinc-rich metals like lead and indium are reduced and oxidized, enriching the final product, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver elegantly remain in the kiln slag.
