The complete process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a series of meticulously orchestrated stages. It begins with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is expertly reduced in size (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then skillfully compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, which is placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Inside the reduction furnace, the temperature is meticulously elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, refined, cast into ingots, and undergoes surface treatment to yield superior finished magnesium ingots.
