The complete process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a seamless sequence of meticulously orchestrated stages: starting with raw material storage, progressing through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is broken down into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, then sintered within a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. The resultant powder is compressed into balls using a ball press. Calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a cohesive mix, housed in heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Inside the reduction furnace, temperatures rise to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, enabling crude magnesium extraction, further refinement, casting into ingots, and surface treatment to produce pristine magnesium ingots.
