Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed rotary kiln, precisely crafted to address the distinctive calcining characteristics of dolomite and meet the rigorous demands of the renowned Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. Acting as the critical component of the dolomite calcining system, this kiln delivers unmatched efficiency and accuracy. products produced by this cutting-edge rotary kiln exhibit remarkable stability and consistent quality, featuring high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition, it flawlessly adheres to the stringent requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This ingenious design enhances the magnesium extraction rate and optimizes silicon utilization, dramatically reducing production costs and metallic magnesium consumption,. It stands as the essential equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium manufacturing industry.
The comprehensive process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a series of meticulously orchestrated stages: starting with raw material storage, progressing through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) with a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then pressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, which is placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield finished magnesium ingots.
