This innovative design optimizes magnesium extraction rates and enhances silicon utilization, dramatically reducing production expenses and metallic magnesium consumption,. It is the essential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium production industry.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of precise stages: starting with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, concluding with reduction and refining. The raw dolomite is initially crushed to ideal sizes (20-40mm) with a crusher, followed by sintering in a rotary kiln, cooling in a cooler, and fine grinding in a ball mill. This powder is then formed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then thoroughly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, temperatures are elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and given surface treatment to produce polished magnesium ingots.
