The entire magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a sequence of meticulously controlled stages: starting with raw material storage, progressing to dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed to ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled via a cooler, and finely milled by a ball mill. This powder undergoes compression into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive mixture, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, temperatures rise to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface enhancement to yield premium magnesium ingots.
