This expertly prepared blend is then seamlessly fed into the rotary kiln through the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the kiln rotates with majestic precision, the materials gently advance, orchestrated by a forced air blast that creates a high-temperature reaction zone reaching an impressive 1000-1200ºC. Within this intense heat, zinc metal compounds undergo a remarkable transformation, reduced by a carbon agent into metal zinc vapor that gracefully enters the gas phase. Here, zinc vapor encounters life-giving oxygen, becoming oxidized into zinc oxide dust. Our cutting-edge dust collection system then captures this, alongside the flue gas, resulting in the extraction of low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, metals rich in zinc, such as lead and indium, undergo a symphony of reduction and oxidation, enriching the final product, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver remain elegantly within the kiln slag.
