The metallic magnesium production line is an expertly crafted rotary kiln. This kiln acts as the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system, offering exceptional precision and unmatched efficiency. products produced by this state-of-the-art rotary kiln exemplify remarkable stability and consistent quality, boasting high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition, seamlessly fulfilling the rigorous requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This innovative design enhances magnesium extraction rates and optimizes silicon utilization, resulting in significant reductions in production costs and metallic magnesium consumption,. It is indispensable equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium manufacturing sector.
The complete magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of meticulously organized stages: starting with raw material storage, progressing through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, then culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed to optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered within a rotary kiln, cooled via a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is compressed into balls using a ball press. Calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Inside the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, refined, cast into ingots, and finally subjected to surface treatment to yield finished magnesium ingots.
