Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed rotary kiln, meticulously crafted to perfectly align with the distinct calcining characteristics of dolomite and the precise Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting. It serves as the pivotal component of the dolomite calcining system. This cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln consistently showcase stable and uniform quality, featuring exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss, fully adhering to the Pidgeon method criteria for magnesium smelting. This enhances magnesium extraction efficiency and optimizes silicon utilization, while significantly reducing the production and consumption costs associated with metallic magnesium. It is the ultimate equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium industry, setting a superior standard for excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is precision-crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and efficiently cooled by an advanced cooler. It is further ground into fine powder using state-of-the-art ball milling machinery and formed into balls with a high-performance ball press. Calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, converting dolomite into calcined white. This is then expertly blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create an ideal dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace at temperatures of 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates in the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to yield premium magnesium ingots.
