Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed rotary kiln, precisely crafted to cater to the unique calcining properties of dolomite and meet the stringent demands of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. It serves as the pivotal component of the dolomite calcining system. This cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln showcase consistently stable and uniform quality, exhibiting exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss. This guarantees full adherence to Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby raising the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization, while significantly reducing the production and consumption costs linked with metal magnesium. It is the ultimate equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting an unmatched standard for excellence.
The all-encompassing magnesiumsmelting process covers raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is meticulously crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and effectively cooled by an advanced cooler. It is further ground into a fine powder through state-of-the-art ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. The calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then precisely mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to produce premium magnesium ingots.
