It stands as the indispensable equipment of choice for dolomite calcination in the magnesium manufacturing sector.
The complete process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a meticulously orchestrated series of stages: beginning with raw material storage, proceeding through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is broken down into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then expertly compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into pristine ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield finished magnesium ingots.
