The comprehensive journey of magnesiumsmelting processes unfolds through a meticulously orchestrated series of stages. It commences with raw material storage, followed by steps of dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminates in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is crushed to ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then compacted into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders, forming a cohesive paste, which is then placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Inside the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to a precise 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to produce pristine magnesium ingots.
