This kiln is the heart of the dolomite calcining system, delivering unparalleled efficiency and pinpoint precision. products produced by this advanced rotary kiln showcase extraordinary stability and reliable quality,, demonstrating high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition. They effortlessly align with the rigorous demands of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This cutting-edge design boosts magnesium extraction rates and optimizes silicon use, significantly lowering production expenses and reducing metallic magnesium consumption,. It stands as the indispensable apparatus for dolomite calcination in the magnesium production industry.
The entire magnesiumsmelting process unfolds in a meticulously orchestrated series of steps. Beginning with raw material storage, proceeding through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and concluding with reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed to ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is compacted into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders, forming a cohesive paste, and placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. In the reduction furnace, temperatures rise to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield pristine magnesium ingots.
