This elevates the magnesium extraction rate and optimizes silicon utilization, while dramatically reducing production and consumption costs of metallic magnesium. It is the quintessential piece of equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting an unparalleled benchmark for excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process includes methodical stages of raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is precision-crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using specialized crushers, sintered in a rotary kiln, and cooled efficiently by a sophisticated cooler. Further pulverization into fine powder is achieved with advanced ball milling machinery, followed by ball formation using a high-performance ball press. Calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, converting dolomite into calcined white, which is then meticulously blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders. This perfect mixture is placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to yield premium-grade magnesium ingots.
