This method, known as the rotary kiln volatilization process, masterfully begins with the meticulous blending of zinc oxide ore with coke powder or smokeless crushed coal, ensuring precise proportions for optimal results. This expertly crafted mixture is then fed into the rotary kiln through the streamlined kiln tail discharge pipe. As the rotary kiln performs its majestic rotation, the materials advance gracefully forward. Enhanced by a powerful forced blast, a high-temperature reaction zone is created within the kiln, reaching soaring temperatures between 1000-1200ºC. This intense thermal environment promotes the reduction of zinc metal compounds using a carbon reducing agent, transforming them into metal zinc vapor which then enters the gas phase. In this phase, the zinc vapor elegantly interacts with oxygen in the air, leading to the formation of zinc oxide dust. This precious dust is adeptly captured by the dust collection system alongside the flue gas, culminating in the production of a high-quality low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, metals rich in zinc, such as lead and indium, undergo sophisticated reduction and oxidation processes, enriching the final product, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver remain gracefully ensconced within the kiln slag.

At the heart of this pioneering process system lies a formidable array of advanced equipment: from the robust Roots blower and the pivotal rotary kiln, to the kiln tail smoke chamber, surface air cooler, and dust collector. Complemented by a state-of-the-art desulfurization system, precise batching system, efficient granulator, and a sophisticated network of conveying equipment, each component is meticulously designed to ensure seamless operation throughout every stage.
