This method, renowned as the rotary kiln volatilization method, embarks on a journey with zinc oxide ore, meticulously intertwined with coke powder or smokeless crushed coal in exact proportions. Once perfected, this blend is introduced into the rotary kiln via the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the rotary kiln gracefully rotates, the materials progress forward, orchestrating a symphonic advance. Assisted by a strategic forced blast, a high-temperature reaction zone, achieving an impressive 1000-1200ºC, is conjured within the kiln. Such intense heat is the catalyst for the reduction of zinc metal compounds, executed by a carbon reducing agent, transforming them into a sublime metal zinc vapor entering the gas phase. In this phase, the zinc vapor meets the air's oxygen, undergoing a metamorphosis into zinc oxide dust, expertly secured by the dust collection system alongside the flue gas. This results in the extraction of a low-grade zinc oxide product. Moreover, zinc-rich metals such as lead and indium experience reduction and oxidation, enriching the final product, while copper and treasured metals like gold and silver elegantly remain within the kiln slag.

At the core of this pioneering process system lies a remarkable ensemble of equipment: the influential Roots blower, the indispensable rotary kiln, a kiln tail smoke chamber, a surface air cooler, a dust collector, a desulfurization system, a batching system, a granulator, and an intricate network of advanced conveying equipment, ensuring seamless and efficient operation at every stage of the process.
