Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed rotary kiln, exquisitely crafted to meet the specific calcining needs of dolomite, tailored to the exacting process requirements of the renowned Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This kiln is the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining operation, offering unmatched efficiency and precision. products produced by this cutting-edge rotary kiln exhibit remarkable stability and consistent excellence, featuring high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition. It impeccably fulfills the demanding criteria of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This innovative design elevates the magnesium extraction rate and optimizes silicon utilization, dramatically reducing production costs and conserving metallic magnesium,. This emerges as the vital equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium production industry.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of precise stages: initially, raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, seamlessly leading into reduction and refining. Starting with the raw dolomite being crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, it is sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then pressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is meticulously mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Inside the reduction furnace, the temperature is raised to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further purified, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield high-quality finished magnesium ingots.
