This ingenious process meticulously combines zinc oxide ore with coke powder or smokeless crushed coal in exact proportions, showcasing unmatched precision. The blend is introduced into the rotary kiln through the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the kiln majestically rotates, these materials gracefully advance. Fueled by a powerful blast, a high-temperature reaction zone of 1000-1200ºC emerges, facilitating the spectacular reduction of zinc metal compounds by a carbon reducing agent. This transformation produces metal zinc vapor, which enters the gas phase and encounters air-borne oxygen, culminating in its oxidation into zinc oxide dust. The dust collection system expertly captures this along with the flue gas, yielding a remarkably refined low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, metals rich in zinc, such as lead and indium, undergo vital reduction and oxidation, while copper and precious metals like gold and silver remain elegantly within the kiln slag.

The backbone of this pioneering process system features an elite suite of equipment, including a robust Roots blower, the essential rotary kiln, a kiln tail smoke chamber, a surface air cooler, a dust collector, an advanced desulfurization system, a precise batching system, a granulator, and a sophisticated network of conveying equipment.
