Immerse yourself in the groundbreaking production of secondary zinc oxide using a state-of-the-art method where the formidable rotary kiln takes center stage. Known as the rotary kiln volatilization method, this ingenious process begins when zinc oxide ore is perfectly blended with coke powder or smokeless crushed coal in precise proportions. The blend is then introduced into the rotary kiln through the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the rotary kiln majestically rotates, the materials gently advance forward. Aided by a forced blast, a high-temperature reaction zone boasting temperatures of 1000-1200ºC is created within the kiln. This intense heat facilitates the reduction of zinc metal compounds by a carbon reducing agent, transforming them into metal zinc vapor that enters the gas phase. Here, the zinc vapor encounters oxygen from the air, becoming oxidized into zinc oxide dust, which is expertly captured by the dust collection system along with the flue gas. The result is the extraction of low-grade zinc oxide product. Furthermore, metals rich in zinc, such as lead and indium, undergo reduction and oxidation, contributing to the final product, while copper, along with precious metals like gold and silver, gracefully remain within the kiln slag.

Standing as the backbone of this pioneering process, the system is a marvel of engineering excellence, comprising an impressive ensemble of equipment: a powerful Roots blower, the pivotal rotary kiln, a kiln tail smoke chamber, a surface air cooler, and a dust collector. Complementing these are a desulfurization system, a precise batching system, an efficient granulator, and a network of sophisticated conveying equipment, all harmoniously orchestrating seamless operation at every stage of production.
