Product Introduction
The core of our innovative production line is a revolutionary rotary kiln, expertly crafted with precision to perfectly match the calcining characteristics of dolomite for the esteemed Pidgeon method in magnesium smelting. Serving as the central pillar of the dolomite calcining system, this advanced products emerging from this state-of-the-art rotary kiln consistently display exceptional stability and uniformity in quality,characteristics that include outstanding reactivity and minimal ignition loss. These features ensure seamless adherence to Pidgeon method standards, significantly enhancing magnesium extraction efficiency, optimizing silicon use, and dramatically reducing both production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium processing. It represents the pinnacle of dolomite calcination technology within the magnesium industry, setting a new standard for quality and performance.
Our comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses every stage from raw material storage through to refining. Initially, raw dolomite is meticulously crushed to ideal sizes (20-40mm) using precision crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln before being efficiently cooled by advanced cooling technology. The material is further ground into fine powder via state-of-the-art ball milling, then expertly formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. Calcination is carried out in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into pure calcined white, then skillfully blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to achieve an impeccable dough. This dough is placed in a robust heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and undergoes reduction in a furnace at temperatures reaching 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process concludes with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and careful surface treatment to produce superior quality magnesium ingots.
