Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed rotary kiln, precisely tailored to align with the distinct calcining characteristics of dolomite and the exacting demands of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. As the pivotal element of the dolomite calcining system, this cutting-edge products produced from the rotary kiln possess consistently stable and uniform quality, showcasing exceptional activity and negligible ignition loss. This guarantees full adherence to Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby boosting the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon use, while significantly reducing the production and consumption costs associated with metallic magnesium. It is the ultimate equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting the gold standard for excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is precision-crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and cooled efficiently by a sophisticated cooler. It is finely pulverized through advanced ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. The calcination is conducted in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then meticulously blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to yield premium magnesium ingots.

This advanced design significantly boosts thermal efficiency and offers outstanding economic returns.
