The products generated by this state-of-the-art rotary kiln are distinguished by their remarkably consistent and superior quality,boasting high activity coupled with low ignition loss, thoroughly aligning with the Pidgeon method's rigorous demands for magnesium smelting. Such qualities render it the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, paving the way for unprecedented advancements.
The comprehensive process of magnesium smelting encompasses a suite of meticulously orchestrated stages: raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, followed by reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is meticulously crushed into qualified fragments (20-40mm) using a crusher, then expertly sintered in a rotary kiln. This is followed by cooling in a sophisticated cooler, grinding into fine powder with a precision ball mill, and finally, pressed into compact balls via a ball press. Within the rotary or vertical kiln, dolomite undergoes a transformative calcination into calcined white. It is then crushed and seamlessly blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a homogeneous mixture, subsequently placed into a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank. This is stationed within a reduction furnace, subjected to intense heat ranging from 1200-1250°C under a vacuum pressure of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, which is then refined through flux processing, followed by ingot casting and meticulous surface treatment to yield pristine magnesium ingots, ready for the market.
