The entire magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of precise stages: from raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, to reduction and refinement. Raw dolomite is initially broken to ideal sizes (20-40mm), sintered in the rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely milled by a ball mill. This powder is pressed into balls via a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then meticulously combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a cohesive blend, placed into robust heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. In the reduction furnace, temperatures are elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, enabling the extraction of crude magnesium, which is subsequently refined, cast into ingots, and treated to produce pristine magnesium ingots.
