Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line features an expertly engineered rotary kiln, meticulously designed to cater to the distinctive calcining characteristics of dolomite and the stringent requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This exceptional rotary kiln serves as the foundation of the dolomite calcining system, representing the epitome of modern technology. These products emerging from the rotary kiln boast a consistently stable and homogenous quality, demonstrating remarkable activity with minimal ignition loss. Such features ensure full compliance with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby increasing the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization, while dramatically reducing production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium production.This stands as the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting new benchmarks for excellence and innovation.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses every stage from raw material storage to refining. Initially, raw dolomite is precision-crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) using specialized crushers. It is then sintered in a sophisticated rotary kiln before being efficiently cooled. The material is further milled into fine powder using advanced ball mills and shaped into balls via a high-performance ball press. Calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white, which is then expertly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a perfect dough. This mixture is placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank and subjected to reduction in a furnace reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process concludes with the extraction of crude magnesium, which is then refined, cast into ingots, and undergoes meticulous surface treatment to produce premium-quality magnesium ingots.
