Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterclass in engineering, featuring a meticulously crafted rotary kiln. Designed to perfectly align with the distinct calcining qualities of dolomite and the stringent requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting, this kiln is the linchpin of the dolomite calcining system. This cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln are synonymous with uniformity and superior quality, ensuring consistently stable and homogenous outputs, boasting exceptional activity levels and a remarkably low ignition loss. This guarantees full compliance with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby amplifying the magnesium extraction rate, optimizing silicon utilization, and significantly driving down the costs associated with metal magnesium production and consumption. It stands as the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting an unparalleled benchmark for quality and efficiency.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses a suite of expertly coordinated steps: beginning with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is precision-crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) by advanced crushers. It is sintered in a rotary kiln and then efficiently cooled by an innovative cooler. Further, it is ground into fine powder using state-of-the-art ball mill machinery and formed into balls with a high-performance ball press. Calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then skillfully combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create the perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C with a vacuum of 1.33Pa. This meticulous process culminates in the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and careful surface treatment to produce premium-quality magnesium ingots.
