This innovative approach, known as the rotary kiln volatilization method, is initiated when zinc oxide ore is meticulously combined with coke powder or smokeless crushed coal in exacting proportions. This expertly crafted mixture is then introduced into the rotary kiln through the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the rotary kiln impressively rotates, the materials smoothly progress forward. Aided by a powerful air blast, a high-temperature reaction zone with blistering temperatures ranging from 1000-1200ºC is generated within the kiln. This searing heat enables the reduction of zinc metal compounds by a carbon reducing agent, metamorphosing them into metal zinc vapor that ascends into the gas phase. In this realm, the zinc vapor encounters oxygen from the surrounding air, undergoing oxidation into zinc oxide dust, which is adeptly captured by the dust collection system along with the flue gas. This process yields a low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, zinc-rich metals such as lead and indium are subjected to reduction and oxidation, enriching the final product, while copper, along with precious metals like gold and silver, elegantly remain within the kiln slag.

At the heart of this pioneering process system lies an impressive ensemble of equipment: a powerful Roots blower, the indispensable rotary kiln, a kiln tail smoke chamber, a surface air cooler, a sophisticated dust collector, a state-of-the-art desulfurization system, a precision batching system, an efficient granulator, and a network of advanced conveying equipment, ensuring flawless operation throughout every phase.
