Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is an exquisitely engineered rotary kiln, designed with precision to cater to the distinct calcining characteristics of dolomite while meeting the exacting demands of the renowned Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This kiln is the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system, ensuring unmatched precision and efficiency. products manufactured by this cutting-edge rotary kiln exhibit outstanding stability and a consistent quality standard, featuring high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition, it efficiently adheres to the stringent requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This design enhances magnesium extraction rates and optimizes silicon utilization, significantly reducing production costs and metallic magnesium consumption,. It is the essential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium production industry.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a succession of careful stages: starting with raw material storage, leading into dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) via a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, chilled in a cooler, and finely milled by a ball mill. Subsequently, this powder is compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive mixture, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Inside the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to produce finished magnesium ingots.
