The comprehensive process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a series of meticulously orchestrated stages. The journey begins with the storage of raw materials, followed by the calcination of dolomite, grinding, and briquetting. This process culminates in reduction and refining stages. Initially, raw dolomite is broken down to optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher and sintered in a rotary kiln. After cooling in a cooler, it is finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, which is placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. In the reduction furnace, temperatures soar to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to produce finished magnesium ingots.
