It is indisputably the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry.
The intricate process of magnesium smelting encompasses a comprehensive sequence of operations including raw material storage, precise dolomite calcination, strategic grinding and briquetting, and meticulous reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is finely crushed to meet specified dimensions (20-40mm) via advanced crushing technology, then meticulously sintered in our cutting-edge rotary kiln, followed by cooling through a specialized cooler. This is succeeded by precision grinding into fine powder using a ball mill and subsequently shaped into compact balls with a ball press. As the dolomite undergoes calcination within the rotary or vertical kiln, it transforms into pristine calcined white, then intricately combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powder to create a homogeneous dough. This mixture is then encased in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, strategically positioned in a reduction furnace, and subjected to temperatures of 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The resultant crude magnesium is then refined through a flux process, undergoes ingot casting, and receives surface treatment, culminating in the production of refined magnesium ingots ready for the market.
